Teaching retreat means we get to explore many aspects of the yoga tradition, including philosophy, chanting, silent mornings, workshops, asana, pranayama and meditation.

As host and manager I looked after all aspects of the guest experience, organising trips, treatments, transfers, ensuring quality standards are met and also managing the kitchen, menu, cleaning staff and property maintenance.

Teaching lineageIMG_4461

The teachers at Yoga Kula sparked my love of all eight limbs of Ashtanga and showed me what a devotion to the practice looks like. The teachers of Ashtanga Yoga Leeds, Joey in particular, taught me to have faith in myself and the practice. Sharath Jois and the assistants at KPJAYI live and breathe the tradition of Ashtanga. Heather Elton and the team on the YTT at Satsanga retreat in Goa immersed me in all aspects of yoga as a devotion and a celebration and a sustainable practice for everyone at every stage of life. Godfrey Devereux and Olivia Crooks invited me to question every single thing I thought I knew about yoga (and life). Tashi Dawa has been a wonderful example of how to give tirelessly as a yoga retreat teacher, creating life-changing experiences for people of all ages and experience. My darling Tara South challenged me every Vinyasa practice with arm balances I can’t even pronounce!
